OVERVIEW
The project consisted of a two-story building with a total of 6,916 square feet of conditioned space. The Grayvik Animal Center occupied the first floor, encompassing 4,115 square feet of conditioned space. This floor included 1,058 square feet dedicated to animal housing and storage areas, providing a safe and comfortable environment for feline care. The first floor was elevated approximately four feet above the finished grade to enhance flood protection and accessibility.
The second floor was designated for ORCAT, offering 2,801 square feet of conditioned space. About half of this floor — 1,330 square feet — was dedicated to feline housing, ensuring ample room for the cats’ well-being. The remaining area was allocated for office occupancy, supporting treatment and care for stray felines. The building’s overall height reached 35 feet above the finished grade, reflecting a thoughtfully designed space that prioritized both functionality and the comfort of its feline residents.
